Classics is a family run business based on a farm close to the sea
in Shalfleet on the Isle of Wight. Three Gates Farm is home to the
Island’s only RSPCA Freedom Food Approved herd of pedigree dairy
cows. Each cow has its own name and number and proprietor, Jill
Cawood, knows them all by heart!With an extensive range of hand crafted products, Calbourne Classics offers something for everyone. The popular country cake range, including the Gold Great Taste Award Winning Cherry & Almond Cake is a favourite of Farmers Market customers, the Luxury Lemon Drizzle Cake can be found in many cafés across the sunny Island and the fantastic fruit scones are a staple constituent of the best cream teas. However the Award Winning Clotted Cream Ice Cream really is the signature product offered by this successful farm diversification. The Orange and Grand Marnier boasts a National Gold Great Taste Award and the Honeycomb Ice Cream received a personal invitation from Anthony Worrell Thomson to appear as a guest item on his Notting Grill Restaurant. Calbourne Classics is also home to the famous Farmer Jack Pies. These superb pies are made weekly with local meat, such as Island lamb, beef, chicken and more recently venison.
